A real winter's day

I woke up this morning all ready to brave the cold for my 9 am Macroeconomics lecture... such dedication I have.

Only to find out that classes were cancelled because of "adverse weather conditions"! And live through London's worst snow in 18 years.

All buses were withdrawn and the tube was having severe delays.

So I'll let the pictures do the talking.

View from our balcony.

Down the street. We had maybe 6 inches? It's a lot for London.

Everyone making the most of the snow.

Some interesting snowmen!

Our own snowman slowly coming into being. He/she has tomatoes for eyes.
(The gender was a big debate).

Ta-da! With a hat loaned by a man who was making his own snowman next to us. It's clearly male right?!

Hannah insisting it's female and adding the handbag.

The snowman collapsed shortly after (you can see it's kind of tilting forward already in the last photo) but not before we took a whole bunch of pictures.

And that's how I spent my morning and afternoon.
